'Hindmarsh' Cabernet Shiraz
Rear-Admiral John Hindmarsh was chosen to become South Australia’s first Govenor, tasked with managing all of the fledgling colony’s official affairs. Prior to this posting, Hindmarsh had been a very experienced officer having served in the British Navy since before his 10th birthday – he was even involved at the famous Battle of Trafalgar.
This is small batch and hand made Barossa Cabernet Shiraz is dedicated to one of the key founding fathers of South Australia. It is inky dark, displays bright ripe berry fruit including raspberries and blackberries along with some light spice. The oak provides a solid but well integrated backbone.

Superbly fruited and instantly appealing, the bouquet shows blackberry, blueberry jam, spiced nut and cocoa characters, leading to a concentrated palate that is plump and supple.
Hand-picked, open-fermented, matured in oak for 12 months. Well made, its style more determined by the vintage than the varieties/blend – which is not to deny the quality of the fruit, which is good beyond the norm.
