"Grounded" Shiraz Grenache
Region: Mclaren Vale
Bottles: 752 produced
Named ‘Grounded’ after the piece of art recreated on the label, this wine is part of our Recovery Project. We hand selected one barrel of Shiraz and one barrel of Grenache, blending them to create a wine of renewal.
Made at Haselgrove Wines in the Mclaren Vale, it demonstrates the power and vibrancy of Shiraz, along with the brightness and spice of Grenache. This is a very flexible wine when matching with food as it’s soft and ripe characters enhance a wide variety of meals.
Bottled on 1 Sept 2020.
A subtle nose, and medley of berries, sour cherries, dark chocolate and delicate spice finish make this an utterly approachable, easy drinking wine. It's no-fuss and easy to hang out with…like a pal you've known for years. Skip the airs and graces and head straight to the fun. (Katie Spain, Sunday Mail, 20/9/20)
It's gorgeously ripe and beautifully lifted on the nose, showing Black Doris plum, sweet raspberry, floral and mixed spice aromas. The palate delivers excellent fruit intensity and vibrancy, backed by smooth mouthfeel and well-pitched tannins, finishing long and splendidly appealing.
