"Grounded" Shiraz

Region:   Barossa Valley

Vintage:  2018

Bottles: 762 produced

Named ‘Grounded’ after the piece of art recreated on the label, this wine is part of our Recovery Project. After a mammoth tasting we selected and then blended two old vine Shiraz barrels to create this wine of renewal.

Winemaker Rolf Binder is renowned in the Barossa for his powerful and textured Shiraz. This wine is all that and more, coming from 70+ year old vines and demonstrating dark berry fruits, well integrated oak and a round long finish.

**This wine was destined for an export customer but 2020 being 2020, that went pear shaped and the order was cancelled**

This is impressively fruited and perfumed, showing blackberry, dark plum, chocolate, game and spicy oak characters, leading to a sumptuous palate that's filled with delectable flavours and velvety texture. It's opulent and graceful with a persistent supple finish.
